Our Story
We’re a small bunch of hardworking screen-printers out of Oakland, CA. We work with clients nationwide and pride ourselves on providing quality apparel printing and attentive service. We answer the phone and our emails! We like to communicate and educate people about our services so don’t hesitate to start a dialogue.
You’ll find that we are highly ethical so your intellectual property and trust are safe in our hands. We’d prefer that you do not contact us to print bootleg shirts, bigoted material or images that infringe on others’ copyrights.

Your life story, briefly: I grew up on a farm in rural Virginia. David, our art guy, and I met at the University of Virginia about 5 years ago. We moved to California in 2010. I make incredibly good chili and amazingly awful cookies.

Your life story, briefly:
1982 Grew up on a steady diet of comic books, Saved by the Bell, and Dungeons and Dragons
2000-2004 Went to UVA, studied abroad in Shanghai and Kyoto, graduated with a degree in Japanese
2005 Started working at a printshop
2006 Started my own t-shirt company, Seibei, as a joke
2007 Moved to New York with Kate, where I continued working as a printer
2010- Moved to the Bay Area with Kate
2011- Started working at Forward
2012- Still dating Kate, still doing Seibei, still at Forward!

Where you’re from: San Francisco, CA
How long you’ve been at Forward: since May 2010 I think
Your life story, briefly: Born in California, I spent my childhood living a thrilling international lifetsyle before returning to the East Bay to attend high school. I moved to Boston in 2005 and completed a joint BFA at School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston and Tufts. In 2009 I fled the crushing bleakness of Massachusetts for the familiar comfort and respectability of Oakland, CA. Upon arrival I made some pizza for Lanesplitters until I dodged work one day to go to Great America with my family. While standing in a wading pool surrounded by half naked strangers I accepted a position at Forward Printing from Dan C over the phone.

Your life story, briefly:
I was born in Walnut Creek, CA and lived in Pleasant Hill until I moved to Arcata, CA at the age of 18. I attended Humboldt State before deciding to move back to the Bay Area to pursue music. I now live in Oakland with my band, Mister Loveless.

Your life story, briefly: Grew up a conservative girl in Connecticut, then Boston. Dropped the conservative thing and bolted the East Coast for Oakland. Became a club promoter, fire eater, torch swinger, art director and head of merchandising/production for the performance art band The Residents. Now a mom and activist for education reform and a pain in the ass to local school board and superintendent.

Your life story, briefly:
I was recruited by Delta Force out of the womb and became an instrumental in the downfall of many well known evil regimes. Aftering tiring of the endless violence I decided to go into cooking. I was a chef for 15 years in various places around Northern California. My brother Dan started Forward Printing and needed a hand so I moved to Oakland to help and the rest is history.
